a couple of shirts

ok, I joined a while ago and I've just been lurking, looking at all the wonderful things you guys make and I have to admit, feeling a little intimidated by your knitting skills. I'm knitting my first hat right now, but for some reason today I really felt the need to participate, so I'm gonna sho you all a couple of pics of shirts that I crocheted. (crocheting is my main craft. Knitting is still new for me. I think I've taken this darn hat apart at least 6 times. I swear i'm gonna finish it if it kills me and even if it looks like crud I'm gonna wear it. :) ) I hope it's ok to post pics of things that are not knitted. In the mean time, hears the only 2 shirts I've ever made with yarn....

Progress on My Quilt

This has been fun so far. Hopefully the next post will be an FO post!

Feminine "Mini" Puff-Sleeve Cardigan

I shrunk this pattern down to a girl's size 5/6 by using size 0, 2, and 2.5 needles, the smallest size instructions, and Cherry Tree Hill Supersock (a magnificent merino). I'll post another picture when she's ready to try it on again and I get some buttons. It's my fault she's already sick of it, I've tried it on her so many times. I loved knitting this.

Finished My 1st Shawl

I finished my first shawl. It was the perfect first shawl project. The Forest Canopy Shawl by Susan Lawrence in Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock Puck's Mischief colorway, lightweight 450 yards. I finished it up on my KP Harmony needles which made the last dozen repeats fly. I will definitely make this pattern again. It is not as difficult to block a lace shawl as I thought it was going to be. I will be sporting this baby at the CGOA/TKGA Knit and Crochet Show Banquet/Fashion Show Saturday night.
