a couple of shirts

ok, I joined a while ago and I've just been lurking, looking at all the wonderful things you guys make and I have to admit, feeling a little intimidated by your knitting skills. I'm knitting my first hat right now, but for some reason today I really felt the need to participate, so I'm gonna sho you all a couple of pics of shirts that I crocheted. (crocheting is my main craft. Knitting is still new for me. I think I've taken this darn hat apart at least 6 times. I swear i'm gonna finish it if it kills me and even if it looks like crud I'm gonna wear it. :) ) I hope it's ok to post pics of things that are not knitted. In the mean time, hears the only 2 shirts I've ever made with yarn....

Both of the shirts are adorable. I really like the blue one. Is this your own design? Heeeey crocheters in the house! Crochet is also my main craft, I've only been knitting for a little while (1.5 years). I definately plan to post crochet items. I didn't know there were any rules. Get ta stichin', Girl!

Day-um ! what great tops. I wish I could crochet like that !

I have been teaching my self to crochet, because I thought I could make a couple of NOLA Hats that way. O my goodness, it has been terrible.
Really a lovely job.

Wow, you are jammin' on those tops.
The designs are cute and the fit is on point too. Love your hair as well. Keep up the crocheting and good luck with the knitting.

Welcome and you did a fab job on the blouses and thanks for sharing. Crochet is my main craft and I learned to knit 3+ months ago and totally loving both worlds.

What they said ;D

I was impressed with the fit of the top of the whit shirt. So many times I've seen ill-fitting tops like that, but you seemed to have some expert shaping skills.

You did a great job on both. I commented on the blue one before (love the sleeves), but this is the first time I've seen the white one. You did a fab job on it too. The bust fits really nice, and it's that always the real test! :)

First of all the white top is EXACTLY like on I bought years ago. I love it and still wear it!

The tunic is gorgeous. I'm not a huge fan of crochet, until I saw your pieces. Great job!

Thanks! I'm glad ya'll like them. The tank top is a Lion Brand pattern found here http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/60485.html. And the sweater was from this pattern taht was butt-ugly online but looks much better in a solid plain color here http://www.modadea.com/patterns/LM0171.htm
