Baby Sweater Dress w/matching booties

I made this for a friends soon to be newborn from the crocheted sweater dress pattern found on the Bella Bambina Blog. It's made out of plum wine simply soft. And I used a simple bootie pattern to match because I had yarn left over. (still have some left too)

This is the front
And the back
and of course, the booties :)

Mysterious FO flies from her needles....

This pattern is easy as pie and pretty as peaches !!!!!
I'd love to expand on this and create a baby blankie from the pattern repeat...hope u like !

First project this year.

Ok, I'm "actively" working on a project right now. I'm going to try and blog about it as often as possible and hope for feedback to keep myself motivated. The project that I'm working on is a lace top. It may be a tank or short sleeve top. Depends on if I have enough yarn left for sleeves. It's not a fast project do to the fact that it's fancy lace, so I'm trying to remain motivated to finish it. It's going to be quite pretty once finished and then it's on to the next project.

How Much Would You Charge for this?

I have been getting lots of requests for my crochet boa and hat set. I am trying to come up with a price for it but I am so clueless since I have never sold any of my stuff. So, I need your advice. What would you guys charge for this. It took me about 9 days to complete this set, but that included crocheting all day on new years eve since I was offI would guess that the total amount of time I spent making the hat was maybe 2-3 hours. The scarf was mor like 12-20 hours. I am not really sure. The yarn was super inexpensive because it is acrylic, maybe about $16.00 in materials.

Here is a reminder of what it looks like:

I would really appreciate your input!
Thanks!

2008 Ebony Elite KCAL

Hey Ebony Elite Ladies!!

I know for me to stay motivated in my knitting I love doing KALs!! :o)

And I was just discussing with my secret pal (anonymous of course) how it would be fun if we all joined in and did one as an E.E. group!

All of our holiday knitting is over (I hope ;op) so lets be selfish and knit for ourselves!!!

Post your KAL project suggestions in the commet section, and the ladies on ravelry are posting their ideas as well.

We will circle back HERE with a poll to vote on our KAL project and then CO!! YAH!!

**EDIT: This will be a KAL and CAL = KCAL!!

Everyone will decide on their own pattern of what they want to knit up since there are some many variations/options.

Please post what you have committed to in this thread!

KCAL will be: February 15th-March 15th!

Post any questions/comments and of course your F.O. here or in Ravelry! :oD

Can't wait to see what everyone will be working on!

Whew! I really enjoyed the holidays, but I am glad that they are over! I made most of my gifts this year including the "Skull Hat" and I have posted pictures on my blog.

I am also running a little blog contest in support of my local Big Brothers/Big Sisters agency. I have been a Big Sister for years and this agency has done a world of good for me and my Little Sister. If you would like to donate to Bowl For Kids Sake (the event that raises funds for Big Brothers/Big Sisters), please see my blog for further details. Thank you!

Two Scarves and One Beanie

Happy New Years!!!

I closed 2007 right by completing Scarfstyle's Ruffle Scarf for my 14 year old daughter and than I decided to start the New Years right by completing Grumperina's Shifting Sands scarf and the Knitting Daily Cecily Beanie for my daughter.

Shifting Sands was knit with a size 9 needle and I used 1 skein of Malabrigo in the colorway Rhodesian (gifted from a SP). I cast on 22 stitches and knit until there was no more yarn and I learned how to cable w/o a needle.

Ruffle Scarf - followed the pattern, Rowan Cashsoft DK 2 skeins.

Knitting Daily Cecily Beanie

This was a very easy knit, it was my first hat and it took 1/2 a skein of RYC Cashsoft DK. It fits my daughter a little loose (I did not do a guage ssshhh.) But it fits me quite well. I have to learn how to crochet so I can make a flower to put on it - the knitted flowers look ugly.

Crochet Hat and Scarf Set

I sent this crocheted hat and scarf set off to Patricia in November (after the deadline) to help the working homeless of New Orleans.  The scarf started off as an Afghan for Afghans, but I missed that deadline too.  I ripped out a row or two, added a scalloped edge (recommended by Stacey) and crocheted a simple hat to go along with it.
