Knitting Needle Sets

Hello all,

I am interested in purchasing a circular knitting needle set. I have looked at Knitpicks Options Knitting Needle Set and Denise Interchangeable Knitting Needles. Do you have any preference over the other and why.

I just purchased the Knit Picks option. While I considered both - I've heard some good things about Knit Pick's version. I'm hoping to receive mine in the mail today.

I have both sets. And love them both for different reasons lol, I know that doesn't help much. The knit picks go down to a size 4 but the denise have different size cords, where the options don't have as many options.

I have one set of knit picks circulars and a menagerie of other circular brands. The Knit Picks cord is by far the most flexible. This comes in handy for the magic loop technique.

I love the Denise set and prefer them b/c they really are easier to interchange (like tonka toys - click click) and they are not as slipper as metal. But that is my personal preference.

I am sure none of us are helping you!

But honestly they are both great sets, it really is just about what you are wanting/looking for in knitting.

Knit Pics - pointer tips, slicker to knit with harder to change (with a pin)

Denise Needles - Not as sharp of a point (but not like dull), plastic do yarn slides off but not as slick, very easy to change!

Let us know what you decide on! :o)

Thanks so much for your help. Well I went with Knit Picks Option Knitting Set. Can't wait to get my hooks... oops I mean needles a clicking...lol. Espcially since I've got the hang of continental knitting... its so much easier. Thanks again.

i have the denise set, which i like but may end up getting some knit pics circulars in smaller sizes, like they have 32 inch #2 and #3 and #4 needles for various projects that i have been looking at.

i hope you like your options!

I like and use them both. I do prefer the cables and joins on the Knit Picks Options though, they are softer and more flexible. The Denise needles are lighter weight. This probably isn't helping is it?? Sorry.

ScrapeintheCity -

I actually did substitue my Denise set with KnitPicks (and other needles) for the smaller sizes too! :O)
